FIGHT AGAINST CARBON MONOXIDE in January, 2024

We launched FIGHT AGAINST CARBON MONOXIDE in January, 2024 to help intervene in high rate of pulmonary diseases.   Our mission is to apply preventative measures, diagnosis, treatment and monitoring & evaluation to staff of our partner companies and residents in the polluted areas.   Carbon monoxide is harmful because it binds to hemoglobin in the blood, reducing the ability of blood to carry oxygen. This interferes with oxygen delivery to the body's organs. FACO is a community based medical intervention for individuals working in chemical and smoke (carbon monoxide) induced industries and organizations, residents living in CO polluted areas such as Ogijo, Gbaga, Phoenix, Likosi and NNPC Mosimi environs.

Since 2023, Milecent health has been the no 1 mobile diagnostic service provider in clinically underserved communities in Nigeria and we have reached out to over 8 companies, impacting over 21,000 lives through our free medical outreaches and sensitisation.   In June 2024, Our health team kicked off action to start community survey at Gbaga, Phoenix, Likosi and NNPC Mosimi environments under Sagamu LGA, Ogun state.   This survey gave us guideline and insight on the environmental issues and pollution caused by heavy metal recycling companies in many residential communities.   Our fight against carbon monoxide is taking its shape and we are providing all medical assistance to these communities using mobile diagnosis.
